Following back-to-back defeats to Crewe Alexandra and Salford, Accrington will look to get back on course when they face Grimsby Town on Saturday afternoon. The Accy Stanley defeated the likes of Oldham and Peterborough in the previous two home games in the EFL Cup, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Grimsby’s visit. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but midfielder Alex Henderson remains in the recovery room.
The Mariners, on the other hand, made a fine start to the new League One campaign, with the team already recording three wins in the process. Grimsby proved their worth in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Walsall on Tuesday evening and given Accrington’s shaky defence, we predict that the visitors will give fans yet another reason to celebrate this weekend. There are no fresh injury concerns in the visiting team.
