Egnatia play host to Breidablik to Demrozi Stadium in the Champions League first qualifying round, first leg. Egnatia did well to beat Romanian side Farul Constanta in their only pre-season friendly, but they face an uphill task against Breidablik. The club chiefs did well to keep hold of top scorer Regi Lushkja, who is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line in Tuesday’s clash.
The Icelanders, on the other hand, are enjoying yet another successful domestic campaign. Breidablik are in the title race with Valur and Vikingur Reykjavik and given their fine goal-scoring run in the national championship, away win should be considered. Experienced midfielder Andri Yeoman is rated doubtful for the visiting team after limping off with injury in a 2-2 draw with Afturelding, with teenager Gabriel Hallsson being ready to step up. The two teams have never met before in European competitions.
